Virtual reality in pathology.
Reproducibility in the diagnosis of needle core biopsies of non-palpable breast lesions: An international study using virtual slides published on the world-wide web.
This site provides access to the virtual slides which were used in the
study. Professor Ian Ellis of the Department of Histopathology,
University of Nottingham, UK acted as referee. The diagnoses were
classified according to the "UK National Coordinating Committee
for Breast Screening Pathology" diagnostic categories which are
endorsed by "The European Commission Working Group on Breast
Screening Pathology".
How to access the virtual slides
The viewing of these slides requires
Apple's QuickTime
software which is available for both Windows and Macintosh.
To navigate the slides, click and move the mouse or trackball. To
magnify and demagnify, press “shift” and “ctrl”
respectively.
By clicking on the case number (labelled and underlined at the foot of the preview), the
diagnosis appears
